Swansea City reportedly want to re-sign Andre Ayew, who they sold to West Ham United in 2016.

The Welsh outfit sold Ayew to the Hammers for £20m in 2016 – fee reported by Sky Sports – and replaced him with younger brother Jordan Ayew, who has scored four goals in his last seven matches in all competitions.
However, with Wilfried Bony and Tammy Abraham struggling in front of goal, bottom-of-the-table Swansea have become overreliant on the 26-year-old for goals and apparently want to bring in his sibling to share the burden.

Andre Ayew scored 12 Premier League goals in 34 appearances in his single season at Swansea, but Sky Sports understands that the Ghana captain is not sold by the prospect of a return to the Liberty Stadium this month.
And why would he be? Although Ayew is not getting regular football at West Ham – he has started nine of their 23 league games this season – Swansea are four points off safety and favourites for relegation to the Championship.

Furthemore, the potential departures of Andy Carroll, who has been linked with Chelsea by Sky Sports, and the out-of-favour Javier Hernandez could provide Ayew with more opportunities to add to his six goals for the campaign.
The final nail in the coffin for Swansea’s hopes of an Ayew return is that they would be unable to match his West Ham wages, according to Sky Sports, and the 28-year-old may be reluctant to leave London and take a pay cut.
It is clear why Swansea want Ayew back, but they would be better off focussing on more attainable targets.
