Glasgow Rangers manager Steven Gerrard reportedly wants former Gers striker Kyle Lafferty at Ibrox.

Ibrox club Rangers want to sign Hearts forward Lafferty in the summer transfer window, according to the report.
It has also been claimed that the Gers’ initial offer of £200,000 for the 30-year-old forward has been turned down by Hearts, who reportedly view the bid as “an insult and disrespectful”.
According to The Daily Record, Rangers’ second bid for the former Gers striker this week will not be more than £300,000, but Hearts are claimed to want close to £1m.

Doomed to fail?
If Hearts want close to £1m for Lafferty, then it is hard to see how Rangers could persuade their Scottish Premiership rivals with a bid of £300,000 or less.
According to The Daily Record, the former Norwich City forward is keen on a return to Rangers where he was from 2008 until 2012, but if Hearts are determined to keep the former Sion forward, then there is nothing the Gers can do.
