Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have been linked with a move for Allan McGregor.

If rumours are to be believed then Rangers will be re-signing Allan McGregor on a free contract this summer.
The Scottish goalkeeper, who previously spent 11 years at Rangers, is unlikely to see his contract at Hull City extended and therefore will be allowed to move on for free in the coming months.
The Scottish Sun report that the Ibrox club intend on bringing him back to Glasgow, but is it a mistake?

McGregor might be a Rangers legend, but at 36, his best days are surely behind him and although his experience would do no harm, a better and younger keeper should be the priority if that’s a position they are keen on strengthening this summer.
Realistically, the Gers will only get one good season out of him before they are linked with replacements, so you wonder whether it’s shortsighted to sign a veteran instead of going out and getting a player who could do a job at Ibrox for years.
Signing McGregor would be a stop-gap until somebody better comes along, but it makes sense for Rangers to look for that someone better first, before signing up the Hull man.
