Who leaves if Glasgow Rangers bring Charlie Adam back to Ibrox?

Charlie Adam made headlines this week for saying that he wants a return to Rangers.
Adam, who spent six years on Rangers’ books until 2009, said to The Record that a return to Ibrox would suit him.
The 32-year-old coming back would excite many-a-Gers fan, while others would argue that Steven Gerrard has more than enough central midfielders at his disposal, which is true.
Gerrard, who played alongside the Scot at Liverpool, has Graham Dorrans, Jordan Rossiter, Ryan Jack, Lassana Coulibaly, Scott Arfield and Ovie Ejaria in his first-team squad.
It’s an extensive list and adding to it makes zero sense unless somebody is leaving, and is Ejaria most at risk if Adam comes in?
The 21-year-old has been rather hit and miss since joining the Blues on a season-long loan from Liverpool, and consistency – or a lack of – has been a regular theme throughout the campaign.
Ejaria, who earns £104,000 per year at Anfield [Spotrac], is by no means a bad footballer, but he is arguably the weakest in Gerrard’s list of midfielders and therefore the strongest candidate to have his spell terminated to accommodate Adam’s would-be arrival.
Some may argue that Lassana Coulibaly is the weakest, but the 22-year-old, on loan from Angers, looks a lot more exciting than Ejaria when he’s on form.
It must be noted that there’s little evidence of Gerrard even wanting Adam at Ibrox, but if he does then someone must go and until he proves that he can be consistent, Ejaria is the obvious casualty.
