Just days after four names were mentioned as potential striking options for Nottingham Forest, their search could be down to just two.

The Nottingham Post claimed that Forest were considering Nelson Oliveira, Tammy Abraham, Jermain Defoe and Rudy Gestede, as Aitor Karanka looks to upgrade his forward line.

However, doing a deal for Defoe and Abraham already looks to be out of the question.

The Daily Mirror have recently reportedly how Abraham doesn’t want to move to a Championship side, as he wants to test himself in the Premier League.

And Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe went on record last night to suggest that Defoe would not be leaving.

It means that Karanka now seemingly has to pick between either Gestede or Oliveira as his only two realistic options.

Gestede and Oliveira both look to be available, and could help Forest in their search to become an even bigger threat.
