Mark Warburton has not made the best start at Nottingham Forest since leaving Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers.

Nottingham Forest fans appear to believe that Mark Warburton is wasting Ben Brereton’s potential be playing him out wide.

Although Warburton has shown great faith in the youngster since taking charge at the City Ground, after leaving Glasgow Rangers, his decision to start him as a winger against Cardiff City has not gone down well.

Brereton did not look at his best during Forest’s latest match, as the Reds slipped to a 1-0 defeat.

And Forest fans fear that Warburton’s decision to start Brereton out wide is limiting the attacker’s effectiveness.

Brereton has been one of the major positives to come out of what has been a hugely disappointing campaign for Forest.

The Midlands side have been in abject form, and their defeat to Cardiff has left them in further trouble.

Forest are currently just one point above the drop zone in the Championship, with three matches left to play.

Forest’s last outings this season come against Reading, Queens Park Rangers and Ipswich Town.
