The former Leeds United player of the year has been left out of action for much of the current campaign.
Leeds United take on Cambridge United in the FA Cup this Monday and for one Leeds player it will be a big opportunity for him to prove his worth at the club.
Alex Mowatt has suffered more than most this season, dropping down the pecking order at the club under Garry Monk’s management.
The arrival of Pablo Hernandez along with the emergence of Kalvin Phillips and Ronaldo Vieira has left him out in the cold at Elland Road.

The 21-year-old is however still an immensely talented player and one Leeds fans have seen thrive before. In the 2014-15 season, he was named the club’s Player’s Player and Player of the Year.
But his form has been sketchy for some time now and not many a Leeds fan will begrudge Monk for leaving him out of action for most of the current season.
However, the FA Cup is likely to see Mowatt given a chance to play for Leeds. However, it could also be something of a make-or-break fixture.

If he is not selected then he will seriously have to start considering his future at Leeds, especially in the short-term.
If he does play but fails to impress, then perhaps it might be that Mowatt has not developed the way he should have in the past two seasons – and his long-term future may be best served elsewhere.
Monday night could be a massive one for Leeds former Player of the Year.
