The West Ham United winger looked back to his best against Burnley.

Not long ago, Michail Antonio was one of the Premier League’s most effective wingers, but the West Ham United player’s form has dipped alarmingly in recent times.
Gone was the player that gave some of the top flight’s best strikers a run for their money earlier in his career, with the Hammers man failing to score in his first six games this time out.

Antonio finally broke his duck in West Ham’s match against Burnley on Saturday and, were it not for a fine save from Nick Pope, the winger could have grabbed a brace.
It was an impressive and timely return to form for the 27-year-old and, while West Ham let the victory slip from their grasp when Chris Wood scored a late equaliser, there are still plenty of reasons to be positive.
West Ham manager Slaven Bilic needs Antonio playing to his full potential, especially with summer signing Marko Arnautovic hardly pulling up trees thus far.

There were suggestions against Sean Dyche’s side that Antonio had finally shaken off the dust and was ready to prove his worth once more.
Given his age and his experience, he should be one of West Ham’s go-to men when it comes for consistency. Instead he has dipped as the club have struggled for form across the pitch.
That may be about to change, and West Ham could benefit from a free-scoring and motivated Antonio once again.
