Rangers want more creativity and current star admits he needs to improve.
Glasgow Rangers midfielder Ovie Ejaria admitted this week his goal return has not been good enough.
Now a report in The Express puts Ejaria’s place in the team in January under pressure.
The report says Rangers want to sign four players in January which include both a midfielder and a number 10, both roles in which Ejaria has played.
Ejaria is at Rangers to provide creativity but his end product has been inconsistent.
He told the club website on Sunday: “I’m quite happy with my performances so far, but I want to be scoring more goals and getting more assists which I am working on every day in training.”
Ejaria is at Rangers until the end of the season from Liverpool.
If he is not careful then he could be replaced sooner than he thinks.
Ejaria has two goals in 22 appearances for Rangers and no assists.
This season has been a positive one for him, he is making progress simply to be considered a weekly starter.
Yet without goals, he is making it difficult for manager Steven Gerrard, who wants to recruit better players to give Rangers a stronger chance of success in 2019.
