The Leeds United summer signing is struggling to replicate his best form.

Kemar Roofe took League Two by storm, scoring 31 goals in 65 matches for Oxford United and earning himself a big-money move to Leeds United as a result.
However, things have not gone well for the 23-year-old since he arrived at Elland Road, leaving some Whites fans to question if he is good enough to make the step up to the Championship.

It is still early days and Roofe is young enough to improve and ultimately make an impact in Yorkshire, yet even at this early stage it is worth asking if the player’s path will be similar to that of former Leeds man Nicky Ajose.
Ajose’s talent was undeniable, but despite finding the net regularly at a range of lower league clubs he could not do the business at Elland Road, ultimately leaving for good with just four senior appearances under his belt.
He would go on enjoy a superb spell at Swindon Town, scoring a remarkable 24 goals in 38 League One matches, leaving Leeds fans to wonder where it all went wrong.

A string of different managers certainly did not help, but Ajose seems like a striker who can be a superstar in the third tier but an average player at best any higher than that.
Roofe could ultimately prove to be the same although Leeds fans will be hoping that will not be the case and that with time and patience the forward justifies his price tag.
