Initially when rumours of Roofe leaving Leeds emerged it seemed highly unlikely that the striker would depart.
However, as time has gone by, the possibility of Roofe departing Elland Road is becoming greater and greater.
Roofe’s current deal has only 18 months left on it, and there are now genuine concerns that Leeds won’t be able to agree a new contract with the forward.
With Premier League clubs circling over Roofe now, Leeds must be slightly worried about Roofe’s future.
Leeds simply cannot afford to lose the forward, as he is so vital to their chances this season.
With Patrick Bamford out with a long-term injury, Roofe has emerged as Leeds main goalscoring hope.
And if Roofe is to leave Elland Road at any point of the campaign then it would be a serious blow to Bielsa’s side’s promotion chances.
