Kemar Roofe struggled for Leeds United again on Saturday.

Concussion caused Paul Heckingbottom to withdraw Leeds United attacker Kemar Roofe in Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Sheffield United.
The 25-year-old took a knee to the head during the first half and Heckingbottom took him off at half time.
In truth, the new Leeds boss could have just as easily subbed him due to a poor performance – yet another in a series of increasingly-sluggish displays by the former Oxford United star.

Roofe, who managed 14 touches in 45 minutes yesterday, has 11 goals in all competitions this season but you wonder if that will be enough to save him this summer unless he has a brilliant end to the campaign.
At £3 million, the Whites striker, who has two goals in his last 10 Championship games, has a big price-tag to live up to and it just doesn’t look like he’s ever going to repay that lofty transfer fee in the form of goals.

Scoring 11 times in a decent return, but six of those came in hat-tricks against Newport in August and QPR in December and unless he can introduce an element of consistency in his forward game then you wonder if Director of Football Victor Orta might wield the axe this summer.
Overall, Roofe, signed by Garry Monk 18 months ago, has 11 goals and nine assists in 70 Championship games. Even if quite a lot of those appearances came from the wing, he still hasn’t been a roaring success at Elland Road and maybe, just maybe, Orta should call time on that experiment this summer unless he picks it up in a big way.
