Should Leeds United boss Thomas Christiansen play Kemar Roofe ahead of Pierre-Michel Lasogga tomorrow night?

Pierre-Michel Lasogga has proven a big hit with Leeds United fans so far.
The Hamburg hitman, who joined Leeds on a season-long loan, has netted three times in four Championship games for his new club this season.
By virtue of the fact he elected to stay in the United Kingdom for the Whites’ clash with Ipswich Town on Saturday rather than fly back to Germany to meet his new baby girl, you could argue that he is completely committed to the cause at Elland Road.

The 25-year-old, who scored against Ipswich, has since flown to Germany and back due to Tuesday night’s massive trip to Cardiff City – who are level on points with high-flying United – but should Thomas Christiansen start with Kemar Roofe up front instead?
It really is a huge game for Christiansen’s side and, as good as Lasogga has been, he must be emotionally and physically drained after such a hectic last few days and Roofe has already proven himself a very able deputy in a striking role so far this season.

The 24-year-old, who has a hat-trick under his belt this season, albeit in a League Cup game, can do the business, while Christiansen also has young striker Jay-Roy Grot at his disposal, though the Dutchman is yet to score following his summer move.
Lasogga is the best striker Leeds have, but he may not be the best candidate for tomorrow and the 44-year-old head coach should look at the bigger picture and consider whether Roofe – an unused substitute on Saturday – is the fresher option.
