According to The Daily Mail, Burnley were interested in signing the 28-year-old, who has scored one of the four goals that Albion have netted under Pardew.
But the Clarets have wrapped up a deal to sign Georges-Kevin N’Koudou from Tottenham Hotspur and it seems unlikely that Sean Dyche will be ringing the West Brom boss now.
With Nacer Chadli still injured, the emphasis for The Hawthorns side must be on keeping their wide players this month, and the good news is that McClean looks unlikely to be leaving.
Of course, other sides – such as Celtic perhaps – could register an interest in the Northern Irish attacker, but Burnley were the big danger, given that they’re massively over-achieving this season, and Albion shouldn’t be hugely concerned about anyone else in England.
