The on-loan Leicester City defender impressed in their EFL Cup tie with Manchester City.

Leicester City went out of the EFL Cup on penalties to Manchester City on Tuesday, but only after taking Pep Guardiola’s Premier League leaders to the limit.
Both managers rung the changes and one of those given an opportunity to impress for the Foxes was Aleksandar Dragovic, who did just that with his quarter-final performance.
The Austrian defender was strong and assured, keeping City striker Gabriel Jesus quiet for much of the match and showing a good understanding with Harry Maguire.

After being signed on loan from Bayer Leverkusen by Craig Shakespeare on transfer deadline day, Dragovic has only made three appearances for Leicester, all in the EFL Cup.
Claude Puel has indicated that he is looking more closely at the 26-year-old by making him a regular in his matchday squads, but still the partnership remains Magure and Wes Morgan.
Leicester’s long-serving captain is approaching his 34th birthday and has lost some of the influence which made him such a big part of the club’s famous 2015-16 title triumph.

And while Morgan remains a leader in the dressing room, Dragovic’s superior ability on the ball may cut out a few mistakes which have stemmed from defensive errors this season.
Considering his international and European pedigree, it is surprising that Dragovic has not featured more prominently for the Foxes, but his time may be just around the corner.
Leicester host Manchester United at the King Power Stadium on Saturday. If he does not get the nod over Morgan then, the busy festive period will surely afford him another chance.
