Samuelsen has been tipped as one of the Hammers’ brightest prospects, but his loan spells in recent times have not worked out as hoped.
Samuelsen has struggled to make an impact during his second spell at Peterborough United, and also on a temporary switch to Burton Albion.
The talented dribbler is now 21, so may need to be playing first-team football soon if he is to fulfil his potential.
If Samuelsen wants to break in at West Ham, he is likely to need to have a strong pre-season.
The Hammers are currently slightly short of options in the attacking midfield spots, and with Manuel Pellegrini looking to add creativity, Samuelsen could prove a good option, if he can catch the Chilean boss’s eye.
