Wolves’ Scandanavian scouting network, and their Chinese owners, could give them the advantage in the chase for QPR and Fulham target Saman Ghoddos.
With Wolverhampton Wanderers two points clear at the top of the Championship, not to mention boasting the most prolific attack in the division, it appears that a new striker should not be high on the club’s list of priorities come January.
Though that is not necessarily the case. Leo Bonatini, prolific though he is at the moment, is the club’s only senior centre-forward and it’s this lack of depth that remains an underlying concern among Wolves supporters.
Though with the Midland giants recently setting up a new scouting network in Scandinavia, per Sportsbibelen, you wonder if it is only a matter of time before an in-demand striker emerges on Wolves’ radar.

The Iranian striker is in prolific form in 2017, scoring 15 goals and setting up a further nine for a side managed by Englishman Graham Potter. Though with Ostersunds director Daniel Kindberg telling Aftenbladet last month that Ghoddos would be valued at around £4.6 million, Wolves could have an advantage over QPR in particular.
The Loftus Road club, who made a bid for the 24-year-old in the summer, only signed two players on permanent deals in the summer and Ghoddos’ price tag could put him out of their reach.
The same could not be said for a Chinese-backed Wolves side who broke the Championship’s all-time transfer record to sign Ruben Neves in the summer.
Ghoddos could add some much needed depth to Wolves’ frontline – making the path to the Premier League ever smoother.
