Tottenham Hotspur were interested in signing Demarai Gray from Leicester City last year.

Tottenham Hotspur could be led to Demarai Gray, after his impressive start to the season with Leicester City.
Mauricio Pochettino’s desire to improve Tottenham’s attacking options has been clear, even if he hasn’t been able to get targets over the line.
Wilfried Zaha seems to have become too expensive, Manchester United won’t do business over Anthony Martial and Jack Grealish has just penned a new contract at Aston Villa.
It seems Spurs are now going to have to look at alternative targets, and Gray could well come back on to their radar.
Spurs were heavily linked with the winger back in 2017 in the Daily Mirror, but couldn’t get a deal over the line.

Gray has now made a bright start to the season at Leicester, and he looks like one of the more realistic options for Spurs to sign.
Gray would fit the template of a typical Tottenham signing, in the sense that he is young, English and talented with the ball at his feet.
And it could well by that the wide-man is put back on Pochettino’s wishlist, if he keeps up his impressive form this season.
