Rangers are currently second in the table, 25 points behind leaders Celtic.

It was another disappointing night for Rangers fans last night, as the Gers suffered a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Heart of Midlothian. Rangers, whose form away from Ibrox has been poor this season, are now 25 points off the top spot, as arch-rivals Celtic appear to be running away with the league.

Rangers fans have been steadily losing patience with Gers manager, Mark Warburton, who guided his side back to the top flight at the end of last season, and this latest defeat is sure to pile the pressure on the former Brentford boss.

Mark Warburton, who started his managerial career with the Bees in 2013, has enjoyed a lot of success in the lower division of England, guiding Brentford to the Championship, and then securing a play-off place during his first season in the division. Touted as one of the top up-and-coming managers, many saw Warburton’s arrival at Ibrox as a real coupe for the Gers.

However, despite guiding Rangers to promotion last season, defeat in the Scottish Cup Final combined with their inconsistent form this year has left many Rangers fans feeling their manager is currently out of his depth; not fully appreciating the mentality at Ibrox. A mentality that means winning every game.

That might be a big demand for a team that has had to rebuild itself over the last few years, but that is the reality of life at the Gers, and some think Rangers should have a manager who can bring that confidence and familiarity with being the best.

With the Ibrox faithful growing restless, could time be up for Mark Warburton at Rangers? Should the Gers make an immediate change? Or should Rangers wait until the end of the season, allowing the man who got them promoted a full season of top flight football to see just what he can achieve?
