Lees has been a key player for Sheffield Wednesday since his 2014 switch from Leeds United.

Tom Lees has been one of Sheffield Wednesday’s most consistent performers since his 2014 move from Leeds United.
However, his form appears to have nosedived this season, prompting a number of Owls supporters to question his place in Carlos Carvalhal’s team.
Lees was certainly at fault for Ipswich Town’s first goal during Wednesday night’s 2-2 draw at Portman Road, and was caught in no man’s land when the cross came in for the home side’s second.

The 26-year-old has helped Sheffield Wednesday to three clean sheets in the league all season, half of what he managed after 18 games last term, and some Owls fans want others – such as Joost van Aken and Frederico Venancio – to take both the place of both he and Glenn Loovens.
Here’s what they’re saying about the former Leeds man’s Ipswich display on social media…
Van Aken and Venancio both arrived at Wednesday in the summer, but while the former has played eight times for his new employers – somewhat unconvincingly it has to be said – Venancio is still awaiting his first team debut.
