Chris Sutton questioned on BBC’s 606 whether Gareth Bale is ‘off to Arsenal’ after he shared that he will speak about his future after the Euros following Tottenham’s final game of the season on Sunday.

Now that the season is at an end, Bale will return to Real Madrid after an up and down time in Tottenham colours.

There’s no doubt that many expected both him and Spurs to have a better time of it, but it opens the door about what happens next with the Welshman.

As posted by Sky Sports, Bale has stated that sharing what will happen next with his future will come ‘after the Euros’ and he knows ‘what I am doing’ but he is fearful of saying anything now because he thinks it will cause just ‘chaos’.

Ex-Premier League striker, Sutton, queried why Bale is keeping tip-lipped about the situation and saying that it would cause ‘chaos’, as he had one crazy suggestion.

“What about Gareth Bale,” questioned Sutton. “There is a story doing the rounds that he’s going to make an announcement after the Euros.

“He cannot reveal his next move. It’s going to cause chaos. Where can he be off to? Going to cause chaos?

“Is he off to Arsenal? Has he been World Class this season? Oh, come on! A couple of goals against Burnley. Come on! Has he had his best days?”

Of course, Arsenal won’t be his next destination but it wouldn’t be a surprise if he hangs up his boots.

With one year remaining on his Real Madrid contract, it’s hard to see the Spanish club offering him a new deal to a 31-year-old old, who they have just shipped out on loan.

There’s uncertainty at Tottenham with no manager in charge, so if Bale has already made his choice on what he wants to do, it surely cannot be Spurs because they have no one in charge?

Therefore, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he retires because he has had an unbelievable career and not many can say they have won four European Cups with Real Madrid.
