According to iNews, Brentford want as much as £40 million in transfer fees for Toney.
Former Chelsea midfielder Andy Townsend does not think that Toney is good enough to play for Manchester United, suggesting that he is not better than Marcus Rashford.

In our view, Ivan Toney is more likely to end up at Leeds United this summer than at Manchester United.
Yes, the Red Devils have been linked with the former Newcastle striker, but we do not think that he would get ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcus Rashford or even Anthony Martial in Erik ten Hag’s team.
Leeds head coach Jesse Marsch personally wants to sign Toney and wants to play him alongside Patrick Bamford in attack, according to The Sun.

Leaving Brentford for Leeds would be a step-up for Toney, while a move to Manchester United from the Bees would be a massive jump for the striker.
Toney scored 12 goals and gave five assists in 32 Premier League starts for the Bees last season.
The striker scored 33 goals and gave 10 assists in 47 Championship starts for Brentford in 2020-21.
