The Tottenham Hotspur player is a big fan of Crystal Palace’s Selhurst Park.

The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Harry Winks, has shocked the former Spurs player, Jamie O’Hara, by naming Crystal Palace’s Selhurst Park as his favourite away ground.

The pair were guests on Jim White’s Talksport show on Thursday morning.

And after a discussion in which he compared Tottenham’s new home to their previous one at White Hart Lane, Winks was asked which other venues he likes to play at.

He told the radio station: “I think Crystal Palace is a special place to go because, again, it’s one of those places where sound doesn’t leave it.

“You know you’re in for a game when you go there. It’s an old stadium, It’s an iconic stadium. It’s a difficult place to go.”

But O’Hara, who left Tottenham to join Wolverhampton Wanderers eight years ago, interjected.

“He’s played in the Champions League final, Old Trafford, and he’s saying that Crystal Palace is the best stadium he’s played at. Is he joking?” asked the 32-year-old.

Winks then clarified: “I’ll tell you why, it’s only because there’s not many of these kind of stadiums about in England any more.”

But O’Hara, who is now the player-assistant coach at Billericay Town, replied: “Yeah, because they’re rubbish!”

Having spent the best part of two years residing at Wembley, Tottenham moved into their new home towards the end of last season, with Crystal Palace, funnily enough, their first opponents.

And the two sides will meet at least two times more next season.
