Tottenham Hotspur have given Harry Kane a sizeable new contract.

Harry Kane’s new contract may just suggest that Daniel Levy is finally loosening the purse strings at Tottenham Hotspur.
The London Evening Standard have reported how Tottenham have given Kane a deal worth £200,000-a-week.
It shows a significant shift in policy at Spurs, with Levy previously putting in a low wage-cap.

Tottenham’s unwillingness to pay big wages has cost them chances of landing top quality targets in previous transfer windows.
However, with Kane on such a big deal, they no longer have to be concerned about paying massive contracts to new additions and unsettling their current squad.

It means that Spurs now have access to sign a new calibre of player, and may just suggest that Levy is wiling to invest more than ever before.
And although Tottenham have been quiet in the summer transfer window to date, there is reason to be excited for the weeks ahead.
