The Tottenham Hotspur boss struggled to stay awake for Argentina’s thrilling World Cup qualifying victory.

Tottenham play host to Bournemouth at Wembley in the Premier League today, as they look to close the gap on the two Manchester clubs at the top of the table.

The Lilywhites have been mightily impressive so far this term, both domestically and on the continent, and the Spurs boss has continued to enhance his reputation within the game as one of Europe’s best managers.
Pochettino was in jovial mood during his press conference, however, discussing a whole host of topics ranging from his love of Game of Thrones to being woken up by his children when Lionel Messi scored Argentina’s first goal on Tuesday night, as quoted by Football.London:

“We were working here for 7am to 8pm. I get home and prepare with my wife and kids for dinner and then Game of Thrones, a few chapters. Ok, I was awake for the game but I was so tired. I went to my bed and put the radio on and was prepared to listen. In the moment that it started, I started watching on my iPad in bed to not disturb my wife. But I fell asleep. That is normal. I wake up when my kids started to shout when Messi scored the first goal and it was 1-1. I woke up and said ‘what happened?’. In that moment I said I’ll follow and listen to the radio. That’s the reality.”
Whether Pochettino fell asleep for the Argentina game, watched Game of Thrones, did or didn’t cook dinner, one thing that is obvious to see is his commitment to Tottenham Hotspur, and at the end of the day, that is all that really matters.
