Tottenham Hotspur striker Fernando Llorente has reportedly been offered a contract to return to Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Troy Parrott’s brilliant performances for Tottenham Hotspur may be making Fernando Llorente’s potential return less likely.
Llorente’s departure has offered Parrott a chance to impress in Tottenham’s first-team, and even at the age of 17, he is showing some very exciting signs.
The young Irish striker has started in both of Tottenham’s pre-season friendlies against Juventus and Manchester United and he has caught the eye.
Parrott was arguably Tottenham’s best player in the first half of their match against United yesterday, and Pochettino must be considering him as a first-team player now.

If Parrott continues to play to such a high standard, Tottenham could well feel that he is ready to be promoted to their senior squad.
Pochettino has never wanted to block the progress of a youngster, if they are ready, so bringing in Llorente on a short-term contract may now be becoming less likely.
