Everton prospect Brendan Galloway is expected to spend the rest of the season on loan at Sunderland.
Everton youngster Brendan Galloway appears to be wasting his time at Sunderland, as he has very little chance of breaking back into Chris Coleman’s side.
Galloway has not featured in either of Sunderland’s last two match day squad since deadline day, due to loan regulations.
The Black Cats are only allowed five loanees in their 18-man match day squad, which means that Galloway has been forced to miss out.
And unless injury strikes, it seems that the defender could simply be playing a reserve role until the end of the campaign.
It is a worrying time for the Everton man, and it is tough to see what exactly he is getting out of being at the Stadium of Light right now.
Sam Allardyce may not feel that Galloway is ready to start for Everton, but he would surely be better off training with the rest of his Toffees teammates, if he isn’t going to play at Sunderland.
Rather remarkably, Sunderland actually offered Everton the chance to recall Galloway and relocate him last month, according to the Chronicle, but the Merseyside club decided against doing so.
And Galloway is now at risk of simply wasting months of his career, as it looks like he could be merely a spectator at Sunderland for the rest of the campaign.
