Is England vs France on BBC? Ahead of Gareth Southgate‘s clash with Didier Deschamps in the World Cup quarter-final on Saturday, we feel this will be a question on the lips of many supporters.

Is England vs France on BBC?

Well, you may be wondering why the above is set to be a heavily asked question ahead of Saturday’s clash at 7pm.

For those of you who are aware of ITV’s international hoodoo, you will be sad to know that England vs France is not on BBC.

ITV have won the rights to show England’s second successive World Cup quarter-final clash, and for the superstitious among us, it is not good news.

Before England’s 3-0 win over Senegal on Sunday, the Three Lions had only won two of their past 15 World Cup games which were shown on ITV since 1998 – a 13% win rate.

In stark contrast, England have won 12 of their 16 World Cup games in which BBC have broadcast the fixture, resulting in an impressive 75% win rate.

Of course, the TV channel has absolutely no bearing on the result, although it is certainly not a good omen ahead of what is set to be a massive game for England.

With Germany, Spain and Belgium already knocked out, the Three Lions have a fantastic chance to win the World Cup for just a second time if they can overcome France.

Details ahead of England vs France World Cup Quarter-Final

Ahead of the clash inside the Al Bayt Stadium, let’s take a look at some updates.

Raheem Sterling, who missed the 3-0 win over Senegal in the Round of 16 as a result of a home burglary back in Surrey, has now flown back to Qatar, so he will once again be available for selection.

England will, however, be without Ben White, who flew back to the United Kingdom for personal reasons.

In addition to the Arsenal defender, Southgate may also be without Declan Rice, who is a doubt with illness.

Callum Wilson also missed training with a minor muscle injury.

Hopefully, the pair can return to full fitness before England’s clash with France, which is sure to be a mouthwatering spectacle.
