Fernando Torres has failed on loan at AC Milan and his options seem to be shrinking, but could a Brazilian side be the answer?

Once feared across Europe, Fernando Torres is now unwanted by his owners and his loan club, and he may have to make a dramatic move to resuscitate his career.

The Spanish international agreed a two-year loan switch from Chelsea to AC Milan in the summer, but he has failed to settle in Serie A.

After netting just once in 10 appearances and 611 minutes of action, Torres’s future at Milan seems under threat and it has been suggested that the Rossoneri want rid of him.

Reports suggest that talks over a return to former club Atletico Madrid have been unsuccessful and Chelsea don’t want their misfiring marksman back.

Sensational reports today from Brazilian site R7 state that a solution for Torres may lie in Brazil at Corinthians, who are said to be determined to lure the Spanish international.

Corinthians may be set to lose key man Paulo Guerrero and it is suggested that Torres may be seen as a replacement.

Talks between Torres’s representatives and the Brazilian club have reportedly already begun over a six-month loan with a salary of around £800,000 for the entire spell.
