The Tottenham Hotspur centre-back has been excellent since he arrived at the club.

Tottenham Hotspur fans had to wait patiently for their side’s summer transfer business to kick into gear, but when it did there were some impressive late deals to be done.
The best of the bunch already appears to be the club-record deal that brought Davinson Sanchez to North London, and it could be argued that the 21-year-old is the best Spurs signing since Dele Alli moved from MK Dons.

While Harry Kane has rightly taken the plaudits for his free-scoring September form, Sanchez has been equally important at the opposite end of the field, which is surprising when you consider Tottenham already had one of the best centre-back pairings in the country in the form of Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld.
That said, Tottenham’s already impressive back line now looks nigh on impregnable and and much of that is to do with how quickly Sanchez has settled into his role in a back three.

Kane will always be the main man at Tottenham, but their manager Mauricio Pochettino clearly knew what he was doing back in the summer and Sanchez’s arrival will be one hell of a coup in hindsight.
Is he the best signing Tottenham have made since Alli? Could he even become a better player (albeit in a very different position) than the England international?
Only time will tell, yet on recent evidence there is certainly a valid case to be heard.
