The new West Ham United manager needs to throw some curve balls into his side.

When David Moyes first arrived at West Ham United, he was quick to take a close look at the club’s next generation in training, and his history suggested he would give some of the Hammers’ exciting teenagers a chance to impress.
Unfortunately, both for the youngsters and for West Ham fans, Moyes has stuck with the old guard thus far, and he is yet to taste victory.

Whether selecting the likes of Toni Martinez and Domingos Quina would have made any difference in that regard is impossible to know for certain. However, the same old players had failed to perform time and again under former West Ham boss Slaven Bilic, and Moyes’ arrival could have signaled a brave new dawn at the London Stadium.
Putting Martinez and Quina on the bench is one thing, but giving them chances is quite another, and Moyes needs to take a few more risks in his bid to pull West Ham clear of the drop zone and ultimately back into the top half of the table.

The Spanish forward in particular could make all the difference in tight contests, while Quina arguably deserves a shot ahead of some of West Ham’s disappointing senior midfielders.
The West Ham boss only has a contract until the end of the season as it stands, but if he makes some brave decisions now, it could set the club up for years to come.
