Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in David Brooks.

Tottenham Hotspur are considering a £50 million summer transfer move for David Brooks, The Mirror claim.
Brooks has proven himself a top talent since signing for Bournemouth last summer, helping The Cherries to a 4-0 win over Chelsea in midweek.
It’s understandable why Tottenham would want to sign him.
But how realistic is it really that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy would splash out that amount on the 21-year-old?
Self defeating policy?
Tottenham will have money to spend this summer after saving money over the last two transfer windows.
Yet they could have signed Brooks for just £11.5 million from Sheffield United last summer, choosing not to despite holding interest as The Mirror reported.

It’s all well and good Spurs saving cash last summer on transfers, but it is a self defeating policy if they sign the player they passed on, this summer for nearly five times the price.
Brooks really would improve Tottenham’s team. But Levy is a prudent chairman.
It seems odd he would overpay for Brooks after Spurs passed on him last summer.
Brooks has upped his transfer value and become a more desirable commodity since.
Even so, Tottenham did not save cash the last two transfers to be irresponsible with their money this coming summer, and a Brooks deal is only likely if a middle ground can be found in terms of price.
