It looks like Brendan Rodgers has already signalled that Cristian Gamboa’s Celtic career is done.

Jeremy Toljan made a glittering first impression to Celtic fans in midweek.
The former Borussia Dortmund right-back enjoyed a brilliant debut as Brendan Rodgers’s side beat Hibernian 2-0 at Parkhead.
Toljan displaced mainstay Mikael Lustig in the first XI, with the veteran Swede dropping to the bench and, on the evidence of Wednesday, he might as well make himself comfy because that’s where he’ll be for the coming months.
But if Lustig is now the back-up, what will become of forgotten man Cristian Gamboa?
The former West Brom right-back hasn’t appeared in any of the Hoops’ squads in 2019 and it looks increasingly like Rodgers might’ve finished his career in Glasgow for him.
Let’s face it, the Costa Rica international might even be Rodgers’s fourth-choice option behind Toljan, Lustig and possibly even Anthony Ralston.
His most recent appearance under Rodgers came in the 1-1 draw with Motherwell on December 5 – over two months ago.
And with his contract set to expire in the summer, it’s extremely likely that he has played his last game for the club.
