Celtic reportedly want to bring Asmir Begovic to Glasgow this summer.

The Daily Star claimed this past weekend that Celtic are keen on signing Asmir Begovic.
The 32-year-old goalkeeper has fallen out of favour at Premier League side Bournemouth since a £10 million switch from Chelsea in 2017 [The Times].
Given his age and experience, Begovic would be a brilliant signing for Celtic, but a potential transfer would be heartbreaking for Craig Gordon.
Gordon is already the Hoops’ second choice under Neil Lennon and a move for the Bosnia & Herzegovina star might push him further down the pecking order in Glasgow.
The Scotland international, an ever-present figure under Brendan Rodgers until the turn of the year, will go into this summer’s pre-season with the hope of winning the gloves back from Scott Bain.
But if Celtic go and sign Begovic then it could and probably should give Gordon something of a sinking feeling.
And considering he turns 37 in December, time is really not on his side here. A move for Begovic would not only make him take stock of his Parkhead career, but his football career in general.
If the Hoops don’t need him, is there another club around who would guarantee him first-team football whilst matching what the Bhoys are paying him?
