The big Celtic striker wasn’t included in either of Neil Lennon’s squads today.

Celtic boss Neil Lennon either really doesn’t fancy Vakoun Issouf Bayo, or something more unfortunate might have happened.
The Hoops have had not one, but two pre-season friendlies today – one against St Gallen’s Under-21 side this morning, and another against the senior team this evening.
But one name was noticeably omitted from both Celtic squads – Bayo.
There is absolutely no reason for Lennon to omit the 22-year-old striker unless he was injured and that’s a bit of a worry for the Bhoys.
Bayo, the Ivorian striker who Brendan Rodgers paid £2 million for in January [Herald], only played one single minute of football during the second half of last season due to injury [The Record].
He demonstrated his sharpness with a goal for Celtic in Saturday’s 2-1 friendly win, which means he was at least fit until just this past weekend but it’s definitely plausible that he’s suffered a knock.
A difficult first six months at Glasgow will mean that he is champing at the bit to make up for lost time and showcase his abilities in Scotland, but it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if there’s a delay on that front.
