Leeds have been linked with a move for the Ireland international.

Leeds United are reportedly interested in signing Bristol City winger Callum O’Dowda if they fail to sign Swansea City star Daniel James – but should the Whites be aiming higher?
Sky Sports claim 15-time Ireland international O’Dowda is on Leeds’ radar as Bielsa looks to bring in another winger. The 23-year-old has been an integral part of the Robins’ campaign so far.
Leeds already boast plenty of options out wide in the form of Jack Harrison, Jack Clarke, Gjanni Alioski, Stuart Dallas and Pablo Hernandez, but it is clear that Marcelo Bielsa wants a new winger.
So, if Leeds fail to agree a move for James, it is believed O’Dowda will be the player they turn to but with Premier League promotion on the horizon, the Whites need to look for a bigger and better signing.
Although O’Dowda has impressed at Championship level – so much so that he has won 15 caps for Ireland – just four goals for Bristol City in 91 appearances is hardly an eye-catching stat.
It is something Leeds should consider, especially if they will be looking to stave off relegation in the Premier League next season. If O’Dowda fails to score in the Championship on a regular basis, he will struggle in the top tier.

The Bristol Post claimed on Wednesday that O’Dowda has a clause in his contract that means his current deal can be extended until the summer of 2020 – and that it would cost Leeds between £8million and £10million to sign O’Dowda.
Leeds have got to look elsewhere rather than signing O’Dowda this month, with potential Premier League football next season to be considered by Victor Orta.
