Newcastle United are said to be keeping a close eye on the powerful midfielder who would be a significant upgrade on Isaac Hayden.

According to Turkish publication Sporx, Newcastle United are closely monitoring Badou Ndiaye, but with an £18million price tag on his head, the Magpies would need to break their transfer record to bring the 27-year-old to St. James’ Park.
That may be a great decision if Ndiaye plays to his full potential, having bossed the midfield since his summer switch to Galatasaray and looking a considerable upgrade on current Newcastle midfielder Isaac Hayden.

Newcastle did some good business in the summer but missing out on Ndiaye for a cut-price fee was a mistake they could live to regret.
It will already take considerably more to bring him to England either in January or next summer, but he would be well worth the investment.
Newcastle need more fight in the centre of the park; a player with real steel who can do the dirty work so the club’s more creative players can focus on what they do best.

Mikel Merino is the creative catalyst for this Newcastle side and adding Ndiaye alongside him and Jonjo Shelvey could work wonders.
Galatasaray will not want to part company with the Senegal international so soon, yet every player has their price and Newcastle know exactly what that is. It is now their decision whether to act or write the player off as one that got away.
