West Bromwich Albion are unlikely to be appointing Sam Allardyce as their new manager as the former England boss is holding out for another job in international football, according to the Mirror.
The Baggies are currently searching for a successor to Tony Pulis following his sacking on Monday (November 20) after a run of just two wins in their last 21 matches.

Allardyce was strongly linked with the job but does not want a return to the domestic game and ESPN reported last month that the 63-year-old was interested in the current vacancy at the USA national team.
The ex-Crystal Palace chief lasted just one fixture in his last international post with the Three Lions, resigning after a Telegraph sting that secretly filmed him discussing how to get around FA rules, among other things.
However, with Pulis being fired not just because of results but due to West Brom fans becoming increasingly frustrated with his style of football, is Allardyce being ruled out actually a blessing in disguise?

The two coaches are cut from the same cloth, viewed as firefighters who have never been relegated in their career and can keep clubs threatened with the drop in the Premier League.
Unfortunately that comes at a cost, with style sacrificed for results and while in the short-term that can be tolerated, disillusion from the stands often sets in after around 12 to 18 months.
It would have made little sense for the West Midlands side to sack Pulis and hire Allardyce and they instead need to take a fresh approach.
