Manchester United will apparently have to pay £25million to sign Kieran Tierney from Celtic, which is surely too cheap?

Manchester United appear to be upping their interest in Celtic’s Kieran Tierney with the Mirror reporting they have made a formal offer for the defender.
It is claimed that the Red Devils could sign Tierney for £25m, but would the Hoops be making an error by allowing one of their best players to leave for that price?

After all, it was now almost four years ago since the Premier League giants paid Southampton £27m (BBC) for Luke Shaw – who at the time had a similar reputation as an exciting youngster.
Since then Manchester City have hugely inflated the price for full-backs with £50m (BBC) and £52m (BBC) deals for Kyle Walker and Benjamin Mendy respectively last summer.

The same report says that Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose, who is another on United’s shortlist, would cost twice as much as Tierney at £50m as well.
So considering that more than two months before his 21st birthday, the Scotland international has played 123 games for the Bhoys, has nine senior international caps and the ability to play anywhere in the back line, surely he should be worth far more than £25m?
