Ipswich Town have been linked with Millwall’s Tom Elliott.

According to a report in the East Anglian Daily Times, Ipswich Town have decided to halt a deal for Millwall’s Tom Elliott after the striker’s medical exam failed to provide assurances over a hamstring injury.
It is claimed Elliott was set to join Ipswich on loan as part of a deal which saw Bartosz Bialkowski head the other way. However, after further diagnosis on his current hamstring injury, the Blues have pulled out a deal.
Elliott’s future has plenty of question marks over it after Millwall strengthened their forward options with the arrivals of Matt Smith from Queens Park Rangers and Jon Dadi Bovardsson from Reading.
Tom Bradshaw’s return from injury trouble last season has pushed Elliott down to fourth choice at The Den, and manager Neil Harris has made the striker available for transfer.
But the 28-year-old’s injury, which he picked up at the start of pre-season, means he may miss out on a transfer this summer and Ipswich are said to have turned their attentions to other targets.

Paul Lambert will be looking to strengthen ahead of the deadline as he seeks to guide the Suffolk club back up to the Championship at the first attempt following their relegation to League One.
James Norwood has joined the Tractor Boys from Tranmere Rovers after topping the League Two scoring charts last season, but it seems Lambert is keen to add at least one more forward player this coming week.
