Sunderland are expected to announce the rumoured Ipswich Town target as successor to Chris Coleman.

Ipswich Town fans are reacting on Twitter to speculation that one of the favourites for their managerial vacancy is heading to Sunderland instead.
Jack Ross had long been one of the bookmakers’ front-runners to succeed Mick McCarthy at Portman Road, however, confirmation of his appointment by Sunderland is expected imminently (Sunderland Echo).
A promising young coach, Ross led St Mirren to this season’s Scottish Championship title, and in doing so is said to have caught the eye of several clubs south of the border.

Whether Ipswich ever firmed up their interest remains to be seen, although it would appear that Ross was unprepared to wait if not, with the opportunity to lead Sunderland into a bright new era – albeit in League One – proving too big of a pull.
Either way, a number of Town fans are not best pleased.
