Norwich City fans are impressed with what they are seeing from Oliver Skipp after the Tottenham man survived a potentially serious injury during his side’s 2-1 win against Rotherham on Saturday.

Skipp, who is on loan at Norwich, started the game at the New York Stadium and with the game at 1-1, he was on the end of a horrific two-footed challenge from Angus McDonald.

McDonald was sent off for his reckless actions and Skipp thankfully got back up.

Amid that drama, Norwich fans shared nothing but positive words about the combative number eight, who has a bit of ‘steel’ about him.

They also praised the performance Skipp put in on the day, as Norwich secured a much-needed three points, with ex-West Ham forward, Jordan Hugill netting a last-minute penalty.

It seems as though Skipp is growing, and most importantly, showing that he is capable of competing at the level he has dropped down to. But why shouldn’t he?

It needs to be remembered that under Mauricio Pochettino, Skipp had played Champions League and Premier League football, so he is well aware of what it takes to play at the highest level.

But given the added competition in Spurs’ midfield, he needed the game time to take his career to the next level and it seems he is currently on the right path.

If Skipp does continue in his ways, it will be interesting to see if Jose Mourinho makes the aggressive player part of his plans for next season.

In the meantime, those at Norwich are sitting up and taking notice at the tough-minded and natured player Spurs have on their books.

Here is a selection of Norwich fans reacting to Skipp’s performance yesterday and that challenge:
