Joselu failed to make a huge impact at Newcastle United, but the Spain international striker is doing well at Real Madrid at the moment.

On Saturday, Newcastle United suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Brighton and Hove Albion, while Joselu was starring for Real Madrid, arguably the biggest club in the world.

Eddie Howe’s Newcastle went down 3-1 to Brighton away from home in the Premier League.

Madrid got the better of Getafe 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu in La Liga.

Praise for former Newcastle United striker Joselu at Real Madrid

The 33-year-old joined Madrid on loan from Espanyol in the summer transfer window.

Joselu has made one start and three substitute appearances in La Liga for Los Blancos so far this season.

The Spain international has scored one goal and given one assist in those games.

As you can see from the post below, Joselu has been praised on Instagram for his goal for Madrid, with teammate Lucas Vazquez describing him as a “killer”.

Joselu joined Newcastle from Stoke City in August 2017 for £5 million (Sky Sports).

Former Real Madrid head coach Rafael Benitez was in charge of the Magpies at the time.

According to The Daily Mail, the striker could manage to score only six goals in 24 starts for Newcastle.

Joselu scored seven goals in 52 first-team appearances for the Magpies, according to The Northern Echo.

According to The Chronicle, Newcastle sold the striker to Alavaes in the summer of 2019 for £2.5 million.
