Northern Ireland international Ali McCann has called playing alongside Rangers star Steven Davis a “great learning process” and admits the veteran makes his life a “whole lot easier” in games.

McCann, who recently left St. Johnstone to sign for Preston North End, only made his debut for his country back in November while the Rangers star racked up his 128th cap earlier this week.
After starring alongside Davis in the 0-0 draw with Switzerland, McCann couldn’t speak highly enough of his international mentor.
“Having Davo in there makes my life a whole lot easier,” McCann told the Belfast Telegraph.
“He talks you through the game. Just seeing how good a player he is and watching how he conducts himself away from the pitch is a great learning process. To be alongside him is brilliant and it helps me massively.”
Davis has been crucial for Rangers since his return to Ibrox and there’s little doubt he’ll be having a similar influence on the likes of Stephen Kelly.

With 128 caps under his belt, there can’t be many better players to pick up good habits from than Davis and McCann is clearly looking to make the most of it.
