Queens Park Rangers’ comeback will lift morale going into the international break.

It is not often that the international break is something to look forward too, but Queens Park Rangers hard-earned point at Hull City can prove vital for the rest of the campaign.
The R’s have been abysmal so far in 2019, and are sliding towards a relegation battle. But the comeback at the KCOM Stadium offers fresh hope they can turn their form around during the last eight games.
For manager Steve McClaren, he has plenty of time to work with his players and try to find a remedy that works across all areas of the pitch. The former England boss has just an eight-point cushion above the Championship drop-zone, and the two-week break must bring an upturn in results.
Saturday’s comeback demonstrated the R’s are more than capable with the players at their disposal, with Josh Scowen and Bright Osayi-Samuel particularly impressing. But draws must translate into wins sooner rather than later, and McClaren has the ideal chance to get it right.

The on-field frailties have been all-too familiar since the turn of the year with defence perhaps the weakest link. But, with Geoff Cameron’s return and Angel Rangel nearing full fitness, it will provide a timely lift.
Bolton Wanderers are the visitors to Loftus Road in two weeks time and McClaren must ensure the R’s get it right, or they will be in serious trouble with games running out.
If the ex-Derby County boss can get it correct on the training pitch and restore confidence amongst the squad, Rangers will be more than grateful for the break.
