Dominic Calvert-Lewin cannot stop scoring this season.
It took him just 25 minutes of his England debut to net his first Three Lions goal against Wales last night.
That set the tone for a 3-0 victory, lifting the mood around the squad which had been dominated by off-field matters in recent months.
Conor Coady and Danny Ings rounded off the victory, and Gareth Southgate said he was pleased with the team performance post-match.
As per the FA website, Southgate picked out Calvert-Lewin for praise, heralding his improvement this season.
“I thought he [Calvert-Lewin] was very good,” said Southgate.
“He had excellent presence, his runs were a threat and he presses well, he took his goal well so he can be really pleased.
“He’s in a good vein of form and is an all-round centre forward.
“I’ve always liked his general play, but he’s added goals now which takes him to another level.”

Calvert-Lewin is absolutely flying right now. It’s like he’s forgotten how to play a game without scoring, it’s just coming so naturally.
Harry Kane looks destined to be England’s first-choice striker at Euro 2021, but there are places in the squad up for grabs in attack and Calvert-Lewin is doing all he can to grab one of them.
That gives Southgate mouth-watering options with which to affect and change matches.
For Carlo Ancelotti, he’ll just want his top striker to carry on hitting the back of the net for as long as possible.
