Rangers star Glen Kamara has been one of the stand-out players for the Light Blues over the last 12 months before going on to shine for Finland so far at Euro 2020 – and his international boss thinks it would be good for his development if he played for “bigger clubs.”
Kamara has been constantly linked with moves away from Ibrox since joining Steven Gerrard’s side for £50k in 2019 and is currently a reported target for the likes of Watford, Arsenal, Southampton, Burnley, Brighton and Leeds United.
After two impressive performances at Euro 2020 as Finland make their debut at the competition, Kamara’s stock continues to rise and Kanerva thinks the midfielder’s development could benefit from a move away from Ibrox.
“Hopefully he will continue his development, it would be nice to see him playing even at bigger clubs,” Kanerva said, as quoted by France 24.
Rangers fans don’t want to see Kamara go

The Rangers support are desperate to see Kamara stick around at Ibrox, and with two years left on his contract, there’s no pressure to sell.
While talks over a new deal appear to have stalled, the Gers have made no secret of their desire to tie Kamara down beyond 2023.
If he does move on, Rangers will be looking at pocketing much, much more than the £50,000 they paid to sign Kamara from Dundee two-and-a-half years ago.
The chance to play for Rangers in the Champions League could well tempt Kamara to stick around and the idea he needs to go elsewhere to continue improving doesn’t really ring true.
