David James has stated that Liverpool’s transfer deadline day loan move for Arthur Melo from Juventus is ‘interesting’, as he told Sky Sports News.
The former Liverpool goalkeeper added that, by Arthur arriving on a loan deal, ‘you’re not disrupting the fluidity of the team over a long period of time’.
South American football expert, Tim Vickery, has expressed his ‘surprise’ at this deal by claiming that the player is more suited to Manchester City than the Reds.

Surprise or not, this is a much-needed signing for Jurgen Klopp because he needed to change his mind to get this deal done.
Initially, the club were going to opt against bringing in another midfield option, but their indifferent start to the new season and injuries to key players quickly changed their mind.
And now, Arthur is headed to Merseyside and is set to try and help his new team win a Premier League title and more.
“I think it’s interesting that it’s a loan,” said James. “They haven’t had the most convincing of performances taking away the 9-0 and injuries.
“But bringing in a player on loan, you’re not disrupting the fluidity of the team over a long period of time, so that would be, in my eyes, good business.”

LIVERPOOL’S INDIFFERENT PERFORMANCES
From a performance perspective, it has been pretty edgy, rough around the edges and worrying start from the current FA Cup and League Cup holders.
That included their clash against Newcastle United on Wednesday night, but the Reds stuck at it and secured a very, very late win.
It’s not Manchester City who are setting the early tempo at the top of the Premier League table, but a certain Arsenal led by Mikel Arteta.
Five games in, the London club, who are aiming for Champions League football, are sitting top of the league and are preparing for their clash against Manchester United at the weekend.
