Leeds United’s Patrick Bamford has claimed that it’s ‘interesting’ to see Cristiano Ronaldo return to the Premier League, as he told his pre-match press conference.
The Leeds hitman is set to make his international bow on Thursday as England take on Hungary in a World Cup qualifier.
Whilst Bamford spoke about his call-up, talk also turned to the return of Ronaldo at Manchester United.
The global superstar will be showcasing his talents in the Premier League once more, including at Elland Road in February.
Ahead of his potential Three Lions debut, Bamford was asked to share his thoughts on Ronaldo.
“I think some of the transfers in the Premier League this year have made the league even better than it already was,” said Bamford.
“Every time, the top teams have strengthened and it’s going to be fascinating to see who comes out on top.
“But, of course, being able to attract Ronaldo back to the Premier League, it’s going to be interesting.”

This summer transfer window will perhaps go down as one of the craziest in recent times.
From Lionel Messi leaving Barcelona, Ronaldo returning, the British transfer record being smashed, PSG rejecting big-money for Kylian Mbappe on deadline day, and the best of them all, Leeds finally landing Daniel James’ signature.
This transfer window will go down in the record books, no doubt, but it also goes to show that, from a financial perspective, COVID hasn’t actually hit the footballing world.
It has probably inflated prices even more and seen football clubs spend like there was no COVID in the first place.
