Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to react after Dejan Kulusevski put Tottenham 1-0 up against Manchester City, with the help of Harry Kane and Heung-min Son.

What’s the story?

Well, Lineker praised Kane and Son for their involvement in the goal, which gave Spurs an early lead at the Etihad Stadium.

The BBC Match of the Day host felt Kane played a “fabulous” pass to Son in the buildup, before calling the South Korean “unselfish” for squaring the ball to Kulusevski.

You can see what Lineker wrote on Twitter in full below.

Son – with his incredible ability – could easily have slotted the ball beyond Ederson, so he deserves credit for making sure of the goal by passing to Kulusevski.

It was also a nice touch from Son to give the Sweden international his first goal for Spurs, on what was his first Premier League start since signing from Juventus.

Unfortunately, Hugo Lloris made a big error to allow Manchester City back into the game shortly after Kulusevski’s goal.

However, Antonio Conte may be on to something in the attacking trio of Son, Kane and the Swede.

With the left-footed Kulusevski coming in from the right, and Son coming in from the left on his stronger right foot, there is a nice balance to the attack.

The pair can either supply Kane, or – as we saw in the buildup to Kulusevski’s goal – the England international can drop deep and pick out their runs.

In some ways, it could be similar to Liverpool’s attack, in the way that Roberto Firmino drops deep and frees up space for Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah to run in behind.

Regardless of the result, Conte may have found an attack which clicks.
